Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus faced off in a skins game at Muirfield Village prior to the 2009 Memorial Tournament. Tiger eventually won in a tie-breaking chip-off, and then went on to win his fourth Memorial title.

Jack Nicklaus smashed a drive down the 18th fairway at St. Andrews on his way to winning the 1978 British Open. It was Nicklaus’s third and last Open win.

Jack Nicklaus congratulated Tiger Woods on winning the Jack Nicklaus College Player of the Year award in a ceremony at the Memorial Tournament in 1996. Woods would go on to win four times at the Memorial, including three in a row from 1999-2001.

Jack Nicklaus raised his putter in the air after he birdied the 18th at Baltusrol to win the 1980 U.S. Open by two strokes over Isao Aoki. At the time, Nicklaus set the tournament scoring record en route to his fourth Open title.
